We are currently seeking a full-time legal assistant to assist with estate planning related matters. Successful candidates will have keen attention to detail, and will be able to produce work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced atmosphere. Candidates proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat are preferred. Candidates are expected to be team players who are individually organized and motivated to prioritize and press matters forward and deal well with clients, courts, and opposing attorneys. Previous legal administrative experience is preferred, although the level of experience is not as important as a candidate who is smart, driven, and dependable. This is a full-time position that includes full benefits.

Our firm is hiring a part time Legal Runner to assist with the daily errands of the office. This position will work closely with all team members to assist in a variety of ways.

Responsibilities:
• Retrieve and deliver legal documents to courts and law firms throughout the Amarillo and Texas Panhandle. Mileage reimbursement will be given for all firm related runs.
• Make copies of documents, distribute mail among the legal staff, mail letters, file maintenance, cover for receptionists, and document and data entry into firm computer application.
• Clean and stock the kitchen. Ensure copy machines are stocked and prepared for the day. Assist in maintaining the office supplies.
• Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements:
• Must be well organized and reliable.
• Must have reliable transportation and a current Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• High school degree or equivalent.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our esteemed and long-term law partner Wyatt Brooks. Our condolences go out to Wyatt's family and friends at this difficult time. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount, Amarillo, Texas. Our law firm will be closed on Thursday morning and will reopen at noon that same day. Thank you for your understanding.
