Insurance Management Services (IMS) was formed in June 1983 with a mission of offering unequaled service for the self insured health benefits market. Over the years, due to this commitment to excellence, our organization has continued to grow. We now have three companies providing administration service for over 45,000 covered lives. Our companies, IMS Marketing, IMS Managed Care and OMNI Networks

Your employees have names, families, and lives that don't pause when a medical situation gets complicated. At IMS, we take that seriously.

Every IMS group gets a dedicated Participant Advocate. Someone your employees can call when they need help navigating a bill, understanding their benefits, or working through a tough diagnosis.

We listen, explain, and help them find the right care at the lowest possible cost.

When people feel supported, they show up differently at work. That's good for them and good for your business.

Picture this. You're a business owner with a few dozen employees. Your health insurance renewal just came in and the premium went up again. Your HR person spent three hours last week on hold trying to resolve a billing issue for one of your employees. And when that employee finally got through to someone, that someone had never heard of your company.

That's the moment employers call IMS.

We take over the administration of your health plan; the claims, the paperwork, the billing questions, the provider calls. Your employees get a dedicated Participant Advocate who knows their plan. You get a knowledgeable team in Amarillo that picks up the phone when you call.

You also get to see exactly where your healthcare dollars are going, and start making decisions that change that number at renewal.

If any part of that scenario sounds familiar, let's talk.

Your workforce has its own needs, its own health patterns, and its own priorities. A plan designed around someone else's employees was never going to serve yours the way it should.

IMS helps employers build self-funded plans that reflect their people. You tell us what your employees actually use and need — dental, vision, mental health, prescription savings — and we build a plan that fits those needs and your budget.

When your employees can feel the value of what you're providing, that's when benefits start working the way they're supposed to.

Back in 1983, IMS started around a kitchen table in Amarillo with one goal: build better health plans for businesses and the people who work for them.

Today we serve 45,000 covered lives with custom, self-funded solutions — and the mission hasn't changed. We're still locally owned. Still answering the phone. Still helping employers control costs and take care of their people.

Forty-three years later, we're still all in.

Teaching someone a skill is one thing. Teaching them to understand why that skill matters, how it connects to something larger than the task itself, is something else entirely. Alex Arriaga does the second thing. As a Claims Trainer at IMS, her work sits at the intersection of process and people, and she takes both seriously.

She describes what she loves about her role in a way that tells you a lot about how she approaches it. "I have an opportunity to share my knowledge and help others develop a strong understanding of our processes," she says.
"Helping my fellow team members build their skills and confidence while supporting their professional growth is one of the most filling aspects of my job." In a company where claims accuracy directly affects the people those claims belong to, having someone who trains with that level of intention matters more than most people realize, it's one of our superpowers.

Away from the office, Alex gravitates toward the people and things that ground her. Time with family and friends, building memories, and a good book when the day calls for quiet. There Was Jesus by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton keeps her company on the playlist, and chalupas have a permanent place on the menu.

When it comes to IMS, she puts it plainly: "One of my favorite things about IMS is how much they value and care for their employees. They create an environment where you feel like your part of a family, and the team-building events they organize help boost morale and encourage meaningful connections among co-workers."

That culture doesn't build itself. It's built by people like Alex, one trained teammate at a time.

We're so grateful to have her on this team.

Most health plans process your claims and move on. What happens to your employee between the diagnosis and the resolution is usually left to them to figure out.

At IMS, that gap is where our Medical Management team works. IMS will work alongside your employees through complex medical situations, coordinating care, reviewing treatment plans, and making sure the right support is in place at every step. They stay involved for as long as the member needs them.

For employers, that means fewer complications, better outcomes, and a workforce that feels genuinely supported when it matters most.

Running a business means making decisions with real stakes behind them, who you hire, how you grow, where you spend. Your health plan deserves that same level of intention. Most employers inherited a plan someone else designed, for someone else's workforce, and have been renewing it on autopilot ever since.

At IMS, we start over. Every plan we build begins with a conversation about your people, what they need, what you can sustain, and where the current plan is falling short. Dental, vision, mental health, prescription coverage, we build around what matters to your team, and we administer it ourselves. Nothing gets handed off.

Since 1983, that's been the model. It still works.

Healthcare questions have a way of arriving at the worst possible moments, like after a procedure, during a stressful diagnosis, when a bill shows up that doesn't match anything your employee remembers agreeing to. Those moments deserve a human being on the other end of the phone, someone who knows the plan, knows how to read a bill, and knows how to get to a resolution.

At IMS, that's the standard.

Your employees aren't navigating a system alone, and your HR team isn't left holding problems that should have been caught upstream. When something needs sorting out, someone here picks it up and sees it through.

That's what service has looked like at IMS for over 40 years, and we're not changing it.

Meet Tonya Hoobler.

There are people who clock in, do their work, and go home — and then there are people who are genuinely moved by what they do. Tonya Hoobler is the second kind. As an RN Case Manager at IMS, she sits at the intersection of healthcare and human beings at their most vulnerable, and she takes that seriously. The part of her work she gravitates toward most is cancer management. "I find cancer research both fascinating and rewarding," she says, and coming from a nurse who works with those patients directly, that says a lot.

She also speaks warmly about the people she works alongside. "I am part of an extraordinary team who supports each other and genuinely want each other to be successful." At IMS, where the work can be sometimes be heavy, this kind of culture sustains people through the hard days.

Away from the office, Tonya keeps life full and varied. She lifts weights, bakes, devours true crime books and documentaries, and makes regular casino runs through Oklahoma and New Mexico. Her playlist is a window into her personality , "Zombie" by Bad Wolves sits alongside Bohemian Rhapsody, and Creep by Radiohead. When it comes to food, she refuses to choose between Italian and a grilled ribeye, and we agree, that's a fair position to hold.

Her favorite thing about IMS is the culture she walks into every day, professional, family oriented, and fun-loving. For a nurse doing the work she does, that environment matters more than most people realize.

We're grateful to have Tonya on this team. Thank you for everything you bring to IMS every day.
