TDCJ IS HIRING IN AMARILLO: NETWORK SPECIALIST I-III

If you know your way around networks, hardware, structured cabling, computer systems, and troubleshooting, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice has an opportunity in Amarillo worth a serious look.

TDCJ is hiring a full-time Network Specialist I-III to provide hands-on IT support across agency facilities. This position goes well beyond sitting behind a help desk. The person selected will work with network equipment, computers, peripherals, software, structured cabling, and video surveillance systems while helping keep critical technology operating across TDCJ locations.

What they're looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of Information Technology work experience, along with the ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain computer and network systems. Candidates who bring additional IT experience, an associate or bachelor's degree, or CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification may be especially competitive.

This is a career ladder position, with placement based on education and experience:

Network Specialist I: $4,491.65-$4,591.39 per month
Network Specialist II: $4,763.77-$4,870.36 per month
Network Specialist III: $4,973.72-$5,085.56 per month
