Tonight is the night! We are so excited to gather for our Brown Bag Session: Foster Care Edition, and we have our very own Nayeli Gonzalez to thank for making it happen. Nayeli is a master's-level social work intern on our Amarillo Angels team, and she has poured her heart into creating a space where foster care youth, alumni, guardians, and the professionals who walk alongside them can come together to talk about navigating higher education. We are so grateful for her.
If you RSVPed, we cannot wait to see you tonight from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at 112 SW 8th Ave, Suite 610 right here in Amarillo. Food will be provided, so come hungry and ready to connect!
Didn't RSVP yet? There is still time! Head to the link below to secure your meal and join us.

Whether you are a young person in high school, someone who has aged out of the system, a guardian planning for the future, or a community professional, this evening is for you.

We are so thankful to the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to speak at Café Con Nosotros last week.
It was an honor to share our mission and talk about the children, youth, and families we serve across the Texas Panhandle. Every time we get to tell these stories, we help build greater awareness, understanding, and support for those experiencing foster care.
Thank you for welcoming us so warmly and for all you do to bring our community together. We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing to build connections that make a real difference. 💛

We are so thankful for groups like Pray the City who intentionally pour into organizations across Amarillo through prayer. 💛

Today, they will be praying over Amarillo Angels, the children and families we serve, our volunteers, staff, and our community as a whole. What a thoughtful and meaningful way to support local nonprofits and the work being done throughout our city.

We are incredibly grateful for the encouragement, support, and prayers.

Join us tomorrow (Monday, May 18th) at noon as we lift up in prayer Amarillo Angels as they support foster care families in our community. We'll meet at 112 SW 8th Ave, Suite 610 (behind the Marriott Hotel downtown).

One year ago, Leona joined the Amarillo Angels team… and what a blessing that has been. 💛

If you know Leona, you know her heart for people runs deep. She shows up for children and families experiencing foster care with compassion, consistency, and genuine care every single day. This work is not always easy, but she handles it with so much grace, patience, and love.

Behind the scenes, she is often the calm in the chaos, the listening ear, the encourager, and the advocate families need most.

Leona, thank you for pouring your heart into this mission and for loving our families so well over the last year. We are incredibly thankful for you and all the lives you have impacted along the way.

Happy ONE YEAR anniversary! 🎉✨

Today, we celebrate the women who show up with love, strength, patience, and grace, in all the ways motherhood can look.

To the moms, grandmothers, foster moms, kinship caregivers, adoptive moms, stepmoms, mentors, and mother figures… thank you for the countless ways you love and care for children, often behind the scenes and without recognition.

At Amarillo Angels, we have the privilege of witnessing everyday acts of love that change lives, packed lunches, bedtime prayers, comforting hugs, hard conversations, and simply showing up again and again. Those moments matter more than words can say.

And today, we also hold space for those who may find Mother’s Day difficult, the ones grieving, longing, healing, or carrying heavy stories. You are seen too.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women loving children through every season of life. The impact you make reaches farther than you know. 💛

Team bonding, ballpark style! ⚾️💛

Today our Amarillo Angels team took a little time to step away, laugh together, and enjoy a Sod Poodles game. The work we do is meaningful, but it can also be heavy, which makes moments like this so important.

Strong teams are built not just in meetings and programs, but in shared memories, conversations, and time spent simply enjoying each other. Grateful for this team and the heart they bring to our mission every day. Go Soddies!!

Your yes could change a life.
This National Foster Care Month, understand this:
The foster care system is complex, but the solution is simple. It’s people. People who choose to show up again and again, building consistent, caring relationships along the way. We’re changing the narrative for children, youth, and families experiencing foster care and inviting you to be part of it.
This is how stories are rewritten.
This is how futures shift.
So what’s your yes?
Maybe it’s volunteering.
Maybe it’s mentoring.
Maybe it’s donating.
Maybe it’s partnering.
Take your next step today.
Be the reason someone’s story changes.
