Krizan Racing was started by Charles “Ed” Krizan in 1979 ( Approx) in Amarillo, Texas.
And thank you Eric Slaytor and Barry Henson for the work on getting it done with the city of Amarillo and the radio stations for their advertising to make this event the success that it was.

Saturday evening Chance had the opportunity to test his new Shipley Motorsports power plant. This is possibly his last race night for the 2026 Race Season as the new baby is coming next month. The motor worked well and Chance was settling in to his Main event when he got caught up in 2 separate racing incidents on the back stretch. Rather than taking a chance on hurting the new motor the call was made to bring her in and race again another night. Although it’s frustrating all is good and the car went back in the trailer and Chance still had fun ( that’s where most lose sight, it’s all about having fun ).
