We say we trust God.
In theory, it makes sense.
In practice? It's a different story.

Most of us would rather have a warehouse than a daily delivery.

Six months of clarity.
A year of provision.
A lifetime of answers.

We want the full plan.
The security.
The peace of knowing it's all figured out.

But that's not how God usually works.

He doesn't hand you the whole picture upfront.
He gives you just enough for today.

Not because He's withholding.
But because He's drawing you close.

God's provision isn't designed to help you move on without Him.

It's designed to bring you back to Him.
Over and over and over again.

If He gave you everything upfront—every answer, every resource, every ounce of strength—how often would you turn to Him?

How often would you need Him?

Here's what He's saying:
The relationship matters more than the provision.

That lack you're feeling?
That uncertainty?
That place where you don't have it all figured out?

It might not be punishment.
It might be proximity.

God wants you close.
And sometimes He uses the empty places to get you there.

God will not let you become self-sufficient.

He won't let you move from dependence to control.
He won't let yesterday's provision replace today's trust.

And honestly? That frustrates us.

We want the full picture.
The long-term answer.
The guarantee that everything is handled.

But God rarely works that way.

Instead, He gives you what you need for today.
Daily grace.
Daily mercy.
Daily strength.
Daily bread.

Jesus didn't pray, "Give us this day our monthly bread."

He prayed for today.

Because today is where trust lives.
Today is where faith grows.
Today is where you meet Him again.

Tithing was never about completing a religious checklist.

God didn't design giving because He needs the income.

He designed it because we need the formation.

Think about it.

Homework trains the mind to think differently.

Giving trains the heart to trust differently.

And if your giving has never led to deeper trust in God?

Something is missing.

Jesus said it plainly.

You can tithe perfectly and still miss the entire point.

Because the goal was never 10%.

The goal was always a heart that trusts God completely.

Comparison will destroy your faithfulness faster than anything else.

You scroll and see someone further ahead financially.

Suddenly what you have feels like nothing.

Or worse.

You see someone with less and think you're doing fine.

Both are traps.

God has never once asked, "Did you match what they did?"

Not once.

His question is simpler.

And harder.

"Were you faithful with what I gave you?"

That's it.

Your assignment isn't their assignment.

Your resources aren't their resources.

Stop measuring your obedience against someone else's highlight reel.
