No, the Bible does not explicitly state that the forbidden fruit in the story of Adam and Eve was an apple. While the apple is commonly depicted as the forbidden fruit, the Book of Genesis only refers to it as “the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. The identification of the fruit as an apple is a wrong translation or interpretation.
