We're proud to share that BB-RISE Regional Director Jarrett Vickers recently testified before the Montana Legislative Interim Education Committee, where he highlighted the innovative work happening across the Big Bend.
Representing Alpine ISD, BB-RISE, and the Educational Partnership of the Permian Basin (EPPB), Mr. Vickers shared how regional collaboration is expanding career pathways, creating workforce opportunities, and transforming outcomes for rural students.

It's an honor to see the Big Bend recognized as a model for rural education innovation, proving what's possible when schools, higher education, employers, and community partners work together.

We love that our leaders are learners, too! ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ’›

The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent are in San Antonio this week learning, growing, and leading at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) School Leadership Institute (SLI).

Great schools are built by lifelong learnersโ€”and that includes our Board. By investing their time in professional learning, these dedicated leaders continue strengthening their ability to serve our students, staff, and community.

Thank you to our Fightinโ€™ Buck Trustees for their commitment to continuous improvement, which helps ensure a bright future for every Fightinโ€™ Buck!

๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’› Senior Spotlight โ€” Trinity Vega ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒŸ
๐ŸŽท๐ŸฅŽ Activities
Trinity came into AHS determined to explore everything โ€” and she delivered. ๐ŸŽ Favorite Teacher
Trinity doesn't play favorites easily โ€” she genuinely likes every teacher. But if she's having a tough day, it's Mr. Valenzuela she turns to. "He is very comforting and lets me have my space if I seem grumpy or upset. Plus I love how he does math jokes. He makes the classroom more bright." ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ˜„
โญ Favorite Moment
The band's first away trip to Fort Stockton โ€” performing all three sets of their marching show including "Into the Heart of the Machine." "I can't explain how amazing it felt. It was the funniest time I had on the field. I can't remember if we lost or not but it was the best time ever." ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ”๏ธ That's what it's all about ๐Ÿ˜„
๐Ÿ”ฎ Plans After Graduation
Trinity is heading to college in the fall with one clear calling โ€” nursing ๐Ÿฉบโค๏ธ "I know helping people is something I have to do. I always felt connected to helping people. I want to save people and comfort them in their hardest moments." The patients who will one day be in her care are already lucky ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ’›
Congratulations, Trinity โ€” we are so proud of you ๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ”๏ธ | ๐ŸŒŸ | ๐ŸŽ“ | โšก
