Gearing up for the grand opening of Alcove Social in the old Saddle Club! Stop on by and see it for yourself in the meantime!

You loved it in a can, so we got it on tap! The Tall City Haze Y’all Hazy IPA in addition to Blue Moon are now on draft. Stop on by to try them out and keep and eye out for new additions to our draft beer line up!

The Saddle Club will be reopening soon as Alcove Social, a professional networking hub by day and a full bar by night. As we make room for some improvements, we must say farewell to some of our furniture and decor as well as our iconic Saddle Club sign. We'll be selling these off via a silent auction this weekend.

We will post pictures and instructions for participating tomorrow morning and all the items will be on display next door during the Granada Bazaar.

To Whom it May Concern in Alpine and the Surrounding Communities,

It is with heavy hearts and heavy regret that we must inform you that as of February, Saturday 23rd, The Saddle Club has closed it’s doors. We are terribly sorry to disappoint and inconvenience our loyal customer base, and have had an incredible ten years serving this community. We would not have been as nearly as successful as we were without the love, support, and patronage of the city of Alpine, and the Big Bend Region of West Texas.

In the wake of this transition, Stephen Wood will be following his long-time dream and passion of opening a meat and seafood market, in order to continue to proudly serve our local communities. Located in the newly renovated adobe building at 501 West Holland Avenue (directly across from The Railroad Blues), The Bearded Butcher will feature such gourmet food items as locally sourced beef, poultry, and game, fresh fish and seafood, house made sausages, cured meats, organic stocks, as well as other epicurean goodies.

We cannot wait to get this new and exiting business venture up-and-going, in order to provide the families of Big Bend with such a high-quality, valuable, and much-needed service. Our page will be debuting shortly, so please stay turned for upcoming news and announcements. We’ll see you on opening day!
