We have something new for kids 10-18! The Rick Gilman Youth Sporting Clay Event! This is a basic introduction to sporting clays & will be set up like 5 stand. All kids should have some experience with a shotgun. We hope to see you there!

If you haven’t paid you dues your gate card is now disabled and you will be charged a daily membership fee until you bring your membership up to date.

Youth Trap Shooting event this Saturday at Lemon Grove Rod & Gun Club here in Alpine!

For a flat fee of $20 per youth (10-17, 18 if still in High School), this event provides 2 rounds of singles trap and one round of doubles.

Registration 11:30am, Safety Briefing 12:00pm

Includes everything needed to participate.

You are welcome to bring your own 12 or 20ga shotgun but is not required.

Emphasis is on safety and proper gun handling.

First time shooters will have 1 on 1 coaching on the lower trap field and experienced shooters will shoot on the upper trap field.

Scores count toward NRA marksmanship awards - patches and medals will be awarded when earned.

Youth Trap

The San Diego SCI chapter is sponsoring a Youth Shooting Clinic on May 17th, 2026 to be held at the Lemon Grove Rod & Gun Club, located near Alpine CA. This event will expose our youth to the safe care and operation of both rifle and shotguns. Participants will shoot .22 caliber rifles from shooting benches at stationary targets, as well as shotguns, at moving clay targets. NRA certified Range Safety Officers will conduct gun safety training along with the proper handling and operation of both types of fi****ms. This is a FREE event for any youth and is a great opportunity to introduce today’s youth to fi****ms in a safe and controlled environment. There are a limited number of spots available so please do hesitate. All participants, shooters and others are required to sign the release of liability prior to the shooting event. Parents or Legal Guardians must also sign parental release form in addition to the release of liability form. Please register here:
