Very good job this weekend. I witnessed some great leadership from some of you folks. The officers and Mr. Wilson will meet Monday morning at 7:30. We have worked to get to this level, now we have to step it up to take it to the next level.

Officers: We are on the right track and a lot of great things are happening. I like the leadership I am seeing happen with our band. I would, however, ask that no one else give a speech about how hard the younger students should try. The instruments that live in the band hall at nights are mostly those that belong to upper classmen. If you truly want to be a great leader, you must lead by example. Be the first one every day, not the last. Be the one taking the instrument home to practice, not leaving it in the hall all of the time. We can make it all the way, but only if EVERYONE tries their hardest. I have always believed you guys are the best ...you only have to prove it to everyone else.

Please make sure your sections are prepared for the music on Friday. There just may be a pop quiz on the music "Venus, Goddess of Love" that shows up real soon. Also, please double check your placements tomorrow morning. We have a few placement issues that would be easy to fix if a few seconds were spent on it. We have had a decent start, a big reason is you guys. Lets keep it going. - W

Section Leaders, Please have a name from your section as a recommendation for student of the week. Also, help Mr. Wilson remember to take shoe sizes for the Converse order this year.

Officers at 6:45 tonight. We need to prep for the evening.

You guys rock! Good meeting today in preparation for tomorrow and the fall. Tomorrow morning, Officers, Jr's, Sr's at 9:00 am. 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students at 10:00 am. If you know someone that is thinking about band tomorrow is the day! Bring 'em with you. Buck Purple shirts, tennis shoes (no flip flops), water bottle, great attitude!

Reminder: Officers meeting today at 1:30 at the bandhall. Bring your open and creative minds! We have much to prepare.

Don't forget, officers are meeting this Thursday at 1:30 in the bandhall. Then officers, Jr's and Sr's will meet on Friday at 9:00 a.m. We will finish at 12:00. Please wear Buck purple shirts on Friday with sneakers, and bring a water bottle.
