ACPG Statement: The Alpine Community Planning Group was formed for the purpose of advising and assisting the Director of Planning, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors in the preparation, amendment and implementation of community and sub-regional plans. The Alpine Community Planning Group is an advisory body only.

1. The owner of a property located at 1902 Alpine Blvd., Alpine, CA has applied a Discretionary Permit for a Site Plan (PDS2024-STP-24-014). The site is a 0.703-acre parcel that currently vacant land and zoned C-36. The project proposes a new 6,999 square foot, commercial building for O'Reily Auto Parts store. Site improvements include 35 on-site parking spaces, landscaping and stormwater management. The County's project manager is Enrique Aponte. His email is [email protected]. The project was previously reviewed and approved by the ACPG. The county has requested the group make a recommendation on this application. Presentation, Discussion & Action
2. The owner of a property located at 9819 Dunbar Lane, El Cajon, CA (APN402-050-34-00) has applied a Discretionary Permit for a Variance (PDS2026-VAR-013). The site is a 1.28-acre parcel that currently has a single-family residence and is zoned A-70. The variance proposes to reduce the front setback regulations from 60’ to 30’ to allow for a new detached accessory structure – a prefabricated storage unit of 2,000SF max. The County of San Diego, Parks and Recreation Department is recirculating sections of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for public review for the Alpine County Park Project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act. The recirculated sections of the EIR along with supporting documents, together referred to as the 2026 Recirculated Draft EIR, can be accessed through the County Parks website by following this link:

Written comments regarding the 2026 Recirculated Draft EIR must be received no later than September 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Comments should be emailed to [email protected] Staff from the County of San Diego, Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand to make a presentation and answer questions. The group may make a recommendation to the County based on the 2026 Recirculated Draft.

Dear clients and for a lot of you Dear Friends;

As we just celebrated our 18th year anniversary in business, Heather & myself would love to announce that as of September 1st, our journey here at CroBean will come to an end.

It’s been an incredible adventure . We were never expecting the success that we’ve had, the connections and friendships that we’ve made.
It was not an easy decision to make, especially spending so many years building a successful business that started from just an idea and combining all of our years of experience in food industry, but as we all know in life, things change, and changes needed to be made.

We have called Alpine our home for so long and Alpine is an incredible community, the support, the love, and the bonds that we’ve built, the close connections and for some of you the deep friendships. We’ve watched a lot of you grow up, get married, have babies of your own and now watch your kids grow. And we have to mention all of the furry friends that we’ve made. What a gift to have been part of this community. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts, we will dearly miss all of this and will never forget the incredible experience that you’ve allowed us to have by trusting in us.

As we are getting ready to start on our new journey, Monday August 31st will be our last day so please, stop by if you have time as we would love to say good bye face to face.
