A 50’ x 100’ frame tent is a lot of space to fill, but this one came together beautifully.

We started overhead with a full pleated liner and 37 strands of bistro lighting, then wrapped every tent leg in sheer drape.

Inside, we added seating for 175, a 12’ x 24’ skirted stage, and a 20’ x 20’ birch and white checker dance floor. Crossback chairs finished off the head table, with white folding chairs throughout the rest of the tent.

Casey from our crew sent these photos back from a film production base camp in Atlanta.

Inside this frame tent, hard flooring sits straight over the grass. The tent has walls, and black pipe and drape splits the inside into separate rooms, giving production crews somewhere private to change.

Luis sent this back from a wedding setup last Tuesday — 44x83 sailcloth tent, black-and-white dance floor, 12x20 stage, out on the edge of a golf course.

Sailcloth tops let daylight through, so the tent stays bright all afternoon without a single light on. The bistro strands take over after dark.

The same tent in November is a different job — sides on, heat underneath. Those book on about a seven-week lead, so a late-autumn date is what we're quoting right now.

Jakob was up in the north Georgia mountains last week setting a 40x40 and a 20x30 frame tent with solid walls and bistro lighting. Not a bad office for the day.

Walls are what turn a frame tent into a room — they block wind and late-day sun, and they come straight back off when the weather turns good. This one stays up through the first week of October.

Walls are also the first half of keeping a tent warm. The second half is heat, and November dates are being quoted now.
