Happy Birthday to Mallory, our Director of Operations and Director of Aria Music Therapy.
“Sing me the song that is in your heart, and I will sing it back to you when you have forgotten.”
That sentiment beautifully reflects the way Mallory moves through the world.
She has devoted her life to listening for the songs in the hearts of others—children, families, veterans, older adults, friends, and those carrying stories of profound joy and sorrow. She is one who helps people find words when there are none and weaves music through moments that can feel too heavy to bear alone.
She reminds us that even in grief there is beauty, even in brokenness there is hope, and even when life’s melody feels lost, it can be found again.

Home from Home (HfH), one of the programs we support in South Africa, provides a family-based model of foster care to children who are orphaned, abused, neglected, and vulnerable through life’s circumstances. HfH provides community in small family homes with up to six children to create an environment where each one can feel seen, safe, and secure.
Most of the work that changes lives never makes the news.
It’s the quiet work of showing up—again and again.
This month’s Third on the Third is a reflection on what that kind of love looks like, and why it’s at the heart of everything we do at Third Ladder.
As we prepare to send more than $40,000 this month for education, food, medicine, and therapeutic services through our local partners, we’re grateful for every person who chooses to quietly carry hope alongside them.

Sometimes, someone comes into your life and you immediately know they’re someone special. Jaimee is one of those people.
Not only is she the creative heart behind our social media, but she’s also a loyal supporter, passionate advocate, and dear friend. She has the biggest heart, the most infectious laugh, and loves people deeply. To know her is truly a gift.
