A little update on Tom the Turkey, unfortunately yesterday morning poor Tom was hit by a vehicle, two really sweet people stopped to help him, we were able to get him some help from ABC Alpena's Bird Center, I was told his wounds are pretty severe, His back end (tail and both legs) have pretty deep wounds. They are cleaned up and now time will tell. Praying for no infections or internal damage. as of this morning he made it through the night and is drinking on his own.

We are open Thanksgiving day from 10:0am to 3:00 pm

So everyone keeps asking us about the Mid-Pointe turkey, So I'll give you a little background on Tom and Jerry (yes that's what I've named them), It started off with 4 of them and then they paired off Tom and Jerry started coming here in the Spring twice a day once in the morning and then once in the evening before they head across the road to roost for the night unfortunately Jerry had an accident so now we just have Tom, he likes to hang out here in the parking lot for some reason, hes kind of Mid-Point's unofficial mascot now. We do ask people not to feed him, because he does have a tendency to cause some havoc by hanging out in the middle of the road, most people seem to like him He's pretty friendly But mostly he just wants to hang out here I guess he must feel safe. So we here at Mid-Pointe, Tom and the Haken family would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving
