Our iconic ALPENA sculpture is surrounded by one of the season’s earliest bloomers — dandelions. While many see w**ds, pollinators see an essential first meal after a long winter. Bees and other early pollinators depend on dandelions for nectar and pollen before many flowers and trees begin to bloom.
