Spring is finally here. The club workbee last weekend was a success and the club and grounds are looking good. It's probably a good time to remind everyone to pick up their spent shells and help keep things looking good. Thanks to Ashleigh from the Thunder bay Bowmen for spearheading the cleanup, it's much appreciated.
Wednesday night clays are in full swing. If you have any questions please give Shane (989-590-2599) or Steve (989-464-1494) a call. We are also open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 - 2:30.

The fun shoot and banquet was a success. A big thank you to Ashleigh from the Thunder Bay Bowmen for providing us with a great meal. Thanks to Joe Mousseau and Mark MacNeill for joining the board, and Mark for donating a flat of ammo for door prizes.
This weekend is the club's cleanup. If you have a free moment please stop in and help spruce up the club and grounds for summer. I've included a flyer with details.
We will have a board of directors meeting the first Saturday in June and will elect officers. I will email contact information at that time.

Just a quick reminder, tomorrow Saturday May 9th is our banquet and fun shoot. We will have a shotgun start at 10:00 with lunch and awards following. On another note. After 10 years as president of the Alpena Claybusters, I will be stepping down. Shane Zarske has offered to take the position. It has been a pleasure working with all of you, and I will remain on the board and do everything I can to help keep things running smoothly.Thank you for the opportunity.

This Saturday and Sunday are the last days to shoot for an April score. Thank You to everyone that helped keep things running this winter, it was a challenging one!
This is also the last weekend to sign up for the fun shoot and banquet, which will be next Saturday, May 9th. A sign up sheet is on the counter. We are planning on a 10:00 shotgun start, with lunch and awards following.
The Thunder Bay Bowmen are also opening their 3D course for the season, so grab your bow and enjoy a full day of shooting.

We're getting close to wrapping up winter league. This weekend and the first weekend in May will be your final chance to shoot for an April score. Our banquet and fun shoot will be May 9th. There are sign up sheets on the counter. Make sure to sign up as soon as possible so we can get a head count. Guests are welcome with a cost of $10.00 for the meal. If anyone would like to donate prizes for the fun shoot please let me know.
I'm planning on having a board meeting on May 2nd at the club at 8:00 for anyone that is interested. We have one new board member coming on and we could use another.
With the snow gone please try to pick up spent shells so we can keep the course clean.

With one month of league down, the course has been changed and it's ready for February. Thank you to Steve Kaminski, Dylan Zarske, and Jeff Hinkle and his son for helping out. With the help of Dylan's tractor we were able to make some decent changes. The bitter cold has been a challenge and we've had some trouble with machines. Hopefully with a little warmer temps we can get everything up and running again.
Wayne has posted scores and standings for January at the club for anyone that's interested.
