April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. As part of SAAM, ACC encourages all students and staff to sign pledge sheets showing their support for survivors and pledging to help stop sexual violence. Students will be working the pledge table today from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. outside of the bookstore. Additional dates/times can be found on the ACC Events Calendar at https://discover.alpenacc.edu/calendar.php. Oscoda students and staff can stop by the main office anytime during business hours. Show your support and help us make a difference in the fight against sexual violence!

This past weekend CNC, CAD, and Machinists all competed in Grand Rapids. 5 competitors won gold and 6 competitors won silver. We had an amazing time and we appreciate all of the support that was given to us this year. Here are some pictures from both of the competitions.

Good luck to the Manufacturing Technology Group as some of their students compete in the SkillsUSA State Welding Competition today at Washtenaw Community College! Students will be competing in both team and individual competitions. Competitors are evaluated based on their ability to complete different welds as well as how well-prepared they are for employment.

Welders are heading to competition this Friday. There are many expenses for competitors, please consider donating to help offset the cost. We appreciate all your support so far, thank you everyone and please share!!

I have a multitude of state and national awards such as gold and silver plaques, shirts, certificates, and pins that have not been picked up yet. If you have graduated and will not be returning please contact me to arrange a pickup time for your things. For those of you that are returning please contact me during the first week of class.

For those of you that are receiving a national "Cut Score" award they should ship to the address you provided during registration. Please let us know when you get them and share a picture.
