We are heartbroken to hear of our friend Nycki Cuddie’s passing.

Nycki started coming to see me in February of 2025 and quickly became one of my favorite people to have in my chair. She always encouraged me to do “something fun” and pushed me to try new things. At every appointment she would ask, “Are you having fun?”

She reminded me that joy matters—that the process matters, not just the outcome. That is something I will carry with me forever.

I want to turn that inspiration into something positive so Nycki can continue to impact others.

On June 20, Rebel Roots and Neighborhood Provisions will be partnering for a donation match event in Nycki’s honor.

From 10 AM–2 PM, our stylists will be offering walk-in haircuts by donation. No appointment necessary.

If you can’t attend, donation containers will be available at both Rebel Roots and Neighborhood Provisions, and the GoFundMe for Nycki’s family will be linked in the comments.

All donations collected will go directly to Nycki’s family. Neighborhood Provisions will also match our donation total and contribute that amount to the scholarship fund being established by The Poetics Lab in Nycki’s honor.

✈️ Heads up, travelers! The TSA quietly updated its security screening page, officially giving the green light ("Yes - Special Instructions") to medical ma*****na in both carry-on and checked bags! 🧳✨

They even removed the old warning language about it being federally illegal (see the screenshot attached!).

🚀 Just keep in mind: This applies to medical cannabis, and the final decision always rests with the TSA officer at the gate. If you’re flying to a state without legal medical or adult-use programs, local laws still apply when you land.
