I may miss a day here and there but eventually, a years’ worth will be here!

From our walk today…fireweed grows all over in Alaska where we are from. Here in Oregon, you can find it once in a while. It’s the pink flower.

It’s called fireweed because after a fire, it’s the first flower to pop up! When a forest burns in Alaska, the hills will be absolutely covered the next season with this flower…beauty from ashes! 🌷

This is a fun little guy. It’s only about an 1” across. I found it in a river bed in Texas. It’s a fossilized bone of some kind and it always has looked like a dinosaur 🦕 face to me!

I had an old Alaska button that had real fur around it, took off the old button and glued him in there. I put a magnet on the back and now so have a piece from Alaska and Texas combined.

It’s the little things 😉

Them: It’s just a rock…

Me: 😳😳😳

The thing that got me trying to photograph this was what looks to be light reflecting off the rock is actually white spots on the rock in very specific places!! lol!

Whew!! Getting there! Leaving the area so…whew!

These are some of the first rocks I RVer found and tumbled. Are they perfect? Heck no!

Are they priceless?? You betcha!

Chalcedony quartz and…?

On the left, raw amber picked up off the ground. On the right, tumbled amber.

“Shucking shells”, lol! This is where I get all my little shells from that I make things with 👍
