The IRS announced today that January 29th will be the start of the nation's 2024 tax season and when the agency will begin accepting and processing 2023 tax year returns.

If you have student loans in default, the IRS will sn**ch your tax return.

Go to studentaid.gov, login and there will be programs available for you to get them out of default status.

Remember to set up a payment arrangement on your student loans now or they can take your tax refund.

Also if you work, check your tax withholding amount on your W-4 and adjust if needed.
