Since 2019, the number of victims who pay out on ransoms has decreased as more people become increasingly aware of the reality of cyber attacks. Paying out for ransomware attacks doesn't guarantee full recovery of data. Organizations have a better idea of what to expect from a ransomware attack and develop strategies to counter against it.
