We successfully completed the first phase of the Hargeisa BDS Training after three intensive, high-level, and highly practical full days of learning, coaching skills development, and facilitation practice.

The training brought together staff from IBS Bank , MicroDahab-MFI, emerging BDS providers, and Mercy Corps staff. It focused on strengthening participants’ ability to deliver practical Business Development Services sessions and provide client-centered coaching across the full loan cycle, from loan appraisal and loan utilization to post-investment follow-up and repayment support.

Through this intensive training, participants gained practical tools, facilitation techniques, and coaching approaches that will enable them to integrate BDS into their daily financial service delivery. They are now better prepared to support both existing and new clients with business management, proper loan utilization, repayment planning, and business growth.

Waafi Hub remains committed to supporting financial institutions and MSMEs through practical BDS, tailored coaching, and inclusive finance solutions that strengthen enterprise performance and repayment capacity.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Core Life Skills module for 40 determined youth trainees under our TVET Capacity Building Programme. This foundational phase has equipped our participants with the essential tools: personnel development and self-awarness, communication and interpersonal skills, conitive and thinking skills, entrepreneurship and work readiness and emotional intelligence—required to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. With this solid foundation in place, these 40 individuals are now prepared and ready to transition into their specialized technical journeys: Electricity and Henna & Makeup. This phase will transform their potential into market-ready expertise, bridging the gap between ambition and self-sufficiency.
