Today, we celebrate the fathers who show up with strength, patience, and unwavering love every single day.
To the dads raising children with disabilities, the fathers living with disabilities, and every father who advocates, supports, encourages, and inspires—your impact goes far beyond words. Your resilience, sacrifices, and dedication help create a more inclusive and compassionate world.
Happy Father's Day to the men who lead with love, champion accessibility, and remind us that true strength is found in care, presence, and perseverance.
💙 Thank you for all that you do.

DAY 20: BE MINDFUL OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING AND SPACES
Accessible parking spaces, ramps, entrances, and seating areas are not conveniences—they are necessities.
Using or blocking these spaces when you don't need them can create significant barriers for people who do.
❌ Don't park in accessible parking spaces without authorization.
❌ Don't block ramps, pathways, or designated accessible areas.
❌ Don't treat accessible spaces as optional.
✅ Leave accessible spaces available for those who need them.
✅ Be aware of how your actions affect accessibility.
✅ Help create an environment where everyone can move freely and safely.
Accessibility works best when we all do our part.
The power is in you.

DAY 19: OFFER ASSISTANCE, DON'T FORCE IT
Offering help is a kind gesture. Forcing help is not.
People with disabilities are the best judges of what assistance they need and when they need it.
❌ Don't grab, pull, or assist someone without asking.
❌ Don't insist on helping after they've declined.
❌ Don't assume you know what's best.
✅ Ask first: "Would you like any assistance?"
✅ Respect their answer.
✅ Be willing to help, but don't take control.
True support empowers people—it doesn't override their choices.

🌍 World Sickle Cell Awareness Day – June 19
Today, we stand in solidarity with millions of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease around the world.
Sickle cell disease is more than a health condition—it is a daily journey of strength, resilience, and courage. On this World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, let's raise awareness, promote understanding, advocate for better healthcare, and support those living with the condition.
Together, we can help create a world where every person with sickle cell disease is seen, heard, supported, and empowered to live their fullest life.
❤️ Awareness saves lives. Understanding builds inclusion. Compassion creates change.

DAY 17: DON'T ASK INTRUSIVE MEDICAL QUESTIONS
Curiosity is natural, but not every question needs to be asked.
A person's medical history, diagnosis, or disability is personal information, and they are not obligated to share it.
❌ Don't ask, "What's wrong with you?"
❌ Don't demand details about someone's condition.
❌ Don't assume you're entitled to their personal story.
✅ Respect boundaries.
✅ Let people share what they're comfortable sharing.
✅ Focus on the person, not their diagnosis.
Remember: having a disability does not make someone's private medical information public.
Respect starts with respecting privacy.
Small actions—like asking before helping, speaking directly to the person, and respecting independence—can make a big difference in creating a more inclusive world.
Let's choose understanding over assumptions and inclusion over barriers. ♿✨
