Sueño Ranch

How’s my Monday Morning going, well since you asked ….. I had to do actual “Ranch Wife” stuff rather living my “Spoiled Wife” life. I was woken to no water in the house by my son yelling “fix the water” as he ran out the door for appointments. I looked and sure enough, there was no water to the house or in the apartments out back. I walked out to the well, with a 10000% humidity today of course, to check the gauge showing adequate pressure at a glance, so I was really worried because if you have a water well you know any work done is going to be expensive.

I did what any self respecting gal would do, called up my Dad for advice because I really didn’t want to wake my hubby up since he's working nights this hitch. I went through checking all the brakers which all were fine, not tripped. He had me tap on the pressure gauge after I got my hands full of damned stickers then ants, the pressure dropped to zero. You couldn’t hear the pump wasn’t running. I tapped on the box where all the wiring connects, of course a ton of ants come out. Told dad I’d call him back to get dressed in real clothes (was still in my PJ’s). Put long sleeve shirt, jeans, got gloves, my garden snippers, couldn’t find a volt meter and poison for all the ants there.

Well of course I had to clear out the area from the huge sticker bur plants and weeds, spraying poison as I went. Got everything cleared, after being drenched in sweat, then got the box top off the pressure switch power area. There was a ton of live and dead ants clumped on everything. I tapped it a few times with a back end of a screw driver and you could hear the well pump kick back on!! Tested the water at the value and it was all good. Tapped some more to clean the area off along with the top side of the box cover. It’s pressured up now and there’s water all through the house again. I sprayed the area really well with the more bug spray to ensure the dang ants don’t cause anymore problems till hubby gets home to do a more thorough job of sprucing the well area up. I’m very grateful it was an easy fix!!! There’s no way I was going to be able to fall back asleep after that. Oh and BTW I didn't get to sleep to after 4 am so I’m running on much on just a few hours rest 😭. So happy Monday y’all!!!

Ok y’all, so I went ahead and created a group attached to this account on the advice of Andrew so maybe we will have an easier time sharing. Here’s the catch, I can’t just invite you off my friends list though … you have to like and follow this regular Sueño Ranch page or have someone else that has already done so invite you. So complicated I know. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey y’all!! So we made an official page for the place here in Alice, Tx so we can have everyone that comes to visit start checking-in, leave photos tagged and all that good stuff so we can all share in the memories made out here at Sueño Ranch!!

**once I get on an actual desktop computer I can turn on the check-in feature, apparently it’s not an option on the app view or from my tablet 🙄**
