We had a great time at the Affiliate Regional Meeting and enjoyed learning so much about our other affiliates and the exciting upcoming events happening in Louisiana!

In case you missed it, here’s a look back at what our community accomplished during Love the Boot Week 2026. ♻️

More than 40 groups including over 500 individuals came together to clean neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces across Alexandria. Together, volunteers collected over 32,000 pounds of litter and helped distribute more than 400 trees throughout the community.

Thank you to every volunteer, organization, business, and community partner who made this year's Love the Boot Week a success. Your hard work helps create a cleaner and greener Alexandria for everyone.

The City of Alexandria invites residents to participate in Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, providing a safe and responsible way to dispose of materials that should not enter regular waste streams.

Littering impacts all of us, but reporting it can help make a difference.

If you witness litter being thrown from a vehicle, you can report it by calling 855-LA-LITTER with the vehicle’s license plate number along with the make and model of the car.

Help us keep Louisiana clean by speaking up when you see littering happen.

Congratulations to all of the schools that participated in and were recognized at Glass Act Recycling's Fourth Annual School Glass Drive Awards Ceremony! 🏆♻️

This year, 27 schools came together to help divert an incredible 5,883 pounds of glass from local landfills through their collection efforts. It’s always inspiring to see students, educators, and community organizations work together to make a real environmental impact right here in Alexandria.
