The field is set for the $602,705 Lee Berwick Futuriy(RG1) folllowing the completion of 11 trials Friday evening at Delta Downs.

Rogelio Marquez Jr.’s RDD Reasons For B won the tenth trial in :17.577 seconds, setting the top mark under jockey Leonardo Rodriguez. The filly by Freighttrain B was bred by Richard Dale Domingue and purchased by her owner for $18,000 at the 2025 LQHBA Yesrling Sale .

The filly, trained by Juan Garcia, and her nine male rivals will headline the stakes filled Louisiana Showcase Night on Saturday, July 11. Congratulations to each of the connections!

Valiant Heart Z topped the qualifiers for the $131,287 Delta Downs Louisiana-bred Derby on Thursday night at Delta Downs Racing. Jockey Jorge Javier Garcia guided the son of Gold Heart Eagle V to victory, covering 400-yards in :19.727 seconds. Bred by Slash Z Quarter Horses, owned by Luis Armando Castellanos and trained by Santiago Villaseca, he will return for the final on Louisiana Showcase Night, Saturday, July 11.

San Lorenzo Bossman, winner of the 2025 Lee Berwick Futurity(RG1) has been installed as the 2-1 choice in race 7. Post time is 6:15 pm tonight, but Friday's card, featuring 11 trials for the Lee Berwick, will begin at the earlier post of 5:45 pm.
