FOUNDATION FEATURE: Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation restored natural resources in the Hoffler Creek watershed as part of a regional effort to restore health to the Chesapeake Bay. A variety of sportfish including striped bass, red drum and speckled trout benefited from this work.

FOUNDATION FEATURE: North Olympic Salmon Coalition targeted the restoration of area beaches and marine riparian areas in Port Hadlock, Washington. Sportfish that benefited from this restoration work include summer chum salmon and steelhead, coho salmon and cutthroat trout.

FOUNDATION FEATURE: Trout Unlimited helped to improve fisheries habitat in northern California. Habitat for coho salmon and steelhead trout populations were improved along more than two miles of the South Fork Big River in Mendocino County, California. Habitat restoration along the Mendocino coast will improve inland habitat--increasing salmon populations and improving sportfishing and boating opportunities.

FOUNDATION FEATURE: Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife (Division of Ecological Restoration) in partnership with the Town of Amherst, American Rivers, Connecticut River Watershed Council, Inc., and Trout Unlimited removed the Bartlett Fish Rod Co. Dam on Amethyst Brook in Pelham, Massachusetts. Removing the dam helped to restore upstream fish passage for migratory and resident fish, improved water quality and improved in-stream habitat.
