Freedom is more than a moment in history—it’s the power to shape your own future. Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the true end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that all enslaved people were finally freed. That day became a powerful symbol of liberation, now remembered as Emancipation Day, or more widely, Juneteenth.

Happy Women's Veterans Recognition Day! We celebrate Women's Veterans Recognition Day today, June 12th, 1948, when President Harry S. Truman signed the Women's Armed Service Integrity Act, allowing women to permanently serve in all branches of the armed forces.
