On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free.

This day came to be known as Juneteenth; a time to gather, celebrate, reflect on the past, and look to the future.

Join us alongside the UCC Potomac Association as we march in the parade on Saturday, June 20, and host a festival booth on Sunday, June 21.

Whether this is your first, fifth or fiftieth year marching, we'd love to have you be part of this joyful celebration of love, inclusion and community!

📣Calling all NOVA renters and anyone who works closely with tenants!

🗓️On Thursday, June 18th, VOICE, Virginia Poverty Law Center, and Allies for Housing Action (Housing Opportunities Made Equal of Virginia (HOME)) are co-hosting an information session to:
📄Provide practical info on new tenant protection laws
❓Answer questions about what these changes mean for renters
💬Discuss housing challenges in your communities

‼️We especially encourage renters, clergy, congregational leaders, social ministry volunteers, community advocates, and anyone who regularly works with tenants to attend.
