When Ahmet began experiencing a sharp, intermittent pain in his side, he knew something wasn't right. For six months, the pain came and went—until he knew he couldn't ignore it any longer.
Fortunately, his search for answers led him to Dr. Alison Schram, a Conquer Cancer-funded researcher. Dr. Schram was leading a clinical trial for a targeted therapy designed specifically for patients with Ahmet's rare genetic mutation.
Thanks to that research, Ahmet is now pain-free and enjoying every single moment with his family.

Last month our community gathered at An Evening to Conquer Cancer to celebrate the power of connection, community, and lifesaving research! Attendees heard directly from our incredible grant recipients about the profound, real-world impact that donor funding has on the future of cancer care.
