Ley Remedia ser Expulsado Si hay Miedo
Gobierno no expulsará, y por el contrario, otorga facultades, que antes eran exclusivamente de jueces de inmigración, a agentes de asilo, para que determinen si existe miedo creíble y otorguen asilo a aquellas familias con hijos.
Hasta ahora solo los jueces de inmigración podían otorgar la protección del gobierno federal a extranjeros que huyen de sus países y buscan asilo en Estados Unidos. Ahora los agentes de asilo de la Oficina de Ciudadanía y Servicios de Inmigración (USCIS) podrán conceder el beneficio a aquellos que demuestren “miedo creíble” de persecución, y solo referirá a la Corte de Inmigración (EOIR) casos no encontrados creíbles.
