Twenty-seven Ranch is the fulfillment of the retirement dreams of Don and Shirley Bray.

With more yesterdays than tomorrows, seeing the sun rise and set from their own little neck of the woods is what retirement is all about for them.

OK19 construction hit a snag at our drive yesterday. We knew it was coming but when the trash truck couldn’t get here, I panic. 😂 Waste Connection is trying their best so it came down to Silver Star construction. We texted and they stepped up! They graded and graveled our “cow path” and it looks like a real road now. Thanks SS!

Who knew one wheelbarrow could hold onto its water so tightly! 🤦‍♀️. RG drilled two holes the size of a grasshopper leg in the lower bottom but they clogged up quickly. 🫩 This morning I think I’ll take a sledge hammer to it……😉😂 If I have to remove these pots one more time………I’m gonna 🍷🍷🍷🙂

The railroad tie border is done except for a square paver under each planter. It’s time to put down the river rock path

Our porch visitor this evening. This turtle is sure different! Look at his green head. His eyes look menacing and he wasn’t really scared of me. I was completely the opposite……he looks scary to me. He is a male Ornate Box turtle. His green head helps him to attract a mate.

Bryon and Shannon have been here all day. We weren’t sure how they would get out since the road started at our drive this afternoon. So…..we sat in the porch and watched……,

We’ve ignored a water runoff problem at the back of the barn because, as usual, it takes work to get to where we needed to fix it. The pipe rack behind the barn was moved and stabilized the front of the barn. Easy access to it now.
