Elevator cake for a toddler obsessed with elevators and the anticipation of riding in one! 😆 I did a deep dive looking at so many elevators for this one, almost went an art deco route but that’s more if ~ I ~ wanted an elevator cake so I opted to keep it simple ✨ I hope this child goes through a 13th Floor Elevators phase when they grow older just like I did haha

2020 deep in pandemic mode- I was spending 10+ hours everyday playing Pokemon Go and doing light catering for friends- I found myself starting to make cakes like I had used to when I was an intern out of culinary school back in 2011…when my uncle Earl had taught me to see cake as an art medium ✨ I’m super grateful that after everything I’ve experienced in my life, I ended up where I am…I’m still very poor and struggle to pay things on time, my contact lenses are the sample ones I’ve stretched out over months, my poor car is becoming Frankensteins monster 😅 and I often work 70-80 hour work weeks with maybe a day off to do dishes and laundry…but I get to be creative and contribute to celebrations using food that I make with lots and lots of love 💕🙏🏽✨🐑🧁 thanks for supporting your local Howdy Cakes!!!
