Eric J. Garcia engaged twenty young adult artists from the Albuquerque community, who organized themselves as the Loose Threads Colectivo, to respond collaboratively, with each commentary visually connected by the thread that unfurls from the top-right figureâs uniform. The resulting mural presents a range of perspectives on issues including reproductive rights, ecological stewardship, accessible healthcare, and more.â
