Last Sunday, we looked at Palm Sunday in Matthew 21:1–11…
a moment filled with celebration, expectation, and misunderstanding.
⠀
The crowds were ready for a king who would defeat their enemies.
But Jesus came in a way no one expected.
⠀
Not on a warhorse… but on a donkey.
⠀
And that moment leads somewhere.
⠀
➡️ To the cross on Good Friday
➡️ And ultimately, to the empty tomb on Easter Sunday

In John 11, Jesus stands at the tomb of Lazarus.
⠀
He knows what’s coming. He knows resurrection is moments away.
⠀
And still… He weeps.
⠀
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐬?

It tells us that hope doesn’t rush us past pain.
⠀
We are living under the reality of hope… but still walking through the darkness of grief.
⠀
And the good news is this:

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐇𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.
