✨ 58, no filters, no editing—just healthy skin. ✨
Living in the high desert has taught me that skincare isn't a luxury—it's a necessity. The intense UV exposure, dry air, wind, and lack of humidity can accelerate skin aging and leave skin dehydrated and compromised if we're not proactive.
This photo has no filters and no retouching. At 58, my goal isn't to look 25. My goal is to have healthy, vibrant skin that reflects the care I've given it over the years.
I think we're seeing a shift in beauty standards. Aging gracefully while maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin is the new trend. It's not about chasing perfection—it's about protecting, nourishing, and caring for the skin you're in.
For me, that means daily sunscreen, proper hydration, quality home care, and regular professional skin treatments. Consistency matters, and regular visits with your esthetician can help address concerns before they become bigger issues.
Whether you're in your 20s, 50s, or beyond, it's never too early or too late to invest in your skin health. In our high desert climate, prevention is everything.
Because healthy, radiant skin never goes out of style. ☀️💧

Just a skincare PSA for anyone considering CO2 laser treatments or medical grade chemicalpeels in a high-desert climate:
Aggressive resurfacing treatments like CO2 laser or deep peels require extremely careful healing conditions and strict sun avoidance. In high-desert environments, the intense UV exposure, dry air, heat, and environmental stress can increase the risk of complications like hyperpigmentation, prolonged redness, irritation, dehydration, and impaired healing — especially during warmer months.
Please be cautious of practitioners who minimize these risks or push aggressive treatments without thoroughly discussing healing requirements, downtime, sun exposure, and whether the timing is truly appropriate for your skin and lifestyle.
Ethical treatment planning should always prioritize skin health, safety, and long-term results over making a sale.

SKIN CANCER AWARENESS
The weather warmed up and suddenly everyone remembers SPF exists. 😂
Meanwhile UV rays have been clocked in year-round, faithfully aging skin through clouds, car windows, and “but it’s not sunny today” excuses. ☀️
Consistent SPF use not only supports skin health and anti-aging goals, but also plays a critical role in reducing the risk of skin cancer. 🧴

Magnifying mirrors were designed to show detail — not reality. The problem is, when we stare into a 10x mirror every day, we start analyzing pores, texture, fine lines, and asymmetry that no one else sees at a normal distance. Over time, it can quietly distort the way we view ourselves.
Human skin has texture. Faces are naturally uneven. But magnification can turn normal features into “flaws,” creating a cycle of overpicking, overcorrecting, and unnecessary insecurity. Sometimes the issue isn’t your skin — it’s the lens you’re using to judge it.
A magnifying mirror has its place for things like makeup application or tweezing, but it should never become the standard way you see yourself. You were never meant to examine your face from two inches away under harsh lighting.
This is also where seeing a professional can make a huge difference. A good esthetician helps bring perspective back. Instead of hyper-fixating on every tiny detail, you get educated guidance, realistic expectations, and a treatment plan based on skin health — not distorted self-criticism. Sometimes what we truly need isn’t more magnification, but a healthier relationship with the reflection looking back at us.

Hey there, Beautiful!
I wanted to share a little about my new Korean skincare lines and why I fell in love with them. Korean skincare isn’t just about glowing skin—it’s a philosophy rooted in intentionality, innovation, and overall wellness. Unlike many Western skincare approaches that focus on quick fixes, Korean skincare emphasizes long-term results, supporting the skin barrier, and nourishing the skin from within.
What Makes Korean Skincare Different?
• Holistic Approach – Skincare isn’t only about what you apply topically. Hydration, nutrition, stress management, and consistent self-care rituals all play a role in healthy skin.
• Innovative Ingredients – Korean beauty is known for advanced, skin-loving ingredients like Centella Asiatica to soothe and calm, fermented extracts to support renewal, and ginseng to help improve elasticity and signs of aging.
• Prevention Over Correction – The focus is maintaining healthy skin before problems arise, rather than only treating concerns afterward. Hydration, SPF, and barrier support are prioritized early and consistently.
Why This Matters for Your Skin
When we focus on hydration, balance, and barrier health, skin is better able to defend itself against irritation, inflammation, and premature aging—leading to a naturally healthy glow that feels just as good as it looks.
If you’re ready to take a gentler, more intentional approach to skincare, I’d love to help you build a routine that works with your skin instead of against it.
Book a consultation and fall in love with Korean skincare the way I did!
Warmly,
Riki

Red LED light therapy is one of those simple treatments that does a lot behind the scenes. Using wavelengths in the red spectrum (around 630–660nm), it works below the skin’s surface to support collagen production, helping improve texture, fine lines, and overall glow.
But it’s not just about skin. Red light also supports your cells’ energy (ATP production), which can help reduce inflammation and promote a sense of calm and well-being. It’s like recharging a battery—giving your skin and body the boost they need to function at their best. There is aome research suggesting thatvit also can elevate your mood!
For real results, consistency is key—using it 3–4 times a week is where the benefits really start to show. And you don’t need an expensive device—what matters most is sticking with it.
Think of it as a little reset for both your skin and your mind ✨

NO MORE FILTERS, LADIES!
You are an original. Why look like a copy? 🎭✨
The Reality Check:
We can’t talk about skin confidence without talking about the "Kardashian Effect." Over the last decade, beauty has shifted from a genetic lottery to a purchasable commodity. We’ve been trained to chase a "one-size-fits-all" look: ultra-smooth skin, zero expression lines, and features that look more like CGI than biology.
The Psychological Trap:
When this "Instagram Face" becomes your mental baseline, your real skin starts to feel like a failure. You see a fine line and think "problem," while the algorithm tells you it should be "blurred." This constant comparison leads to Snapchat Dysmorphia, where we stop seeing our faces as living things and start viewing them as projects to be edited.
The Esthetician’s Truth:
Real beauty is found in the dynamic markers of your life:
* Smile lines that show years of laughter.
* Pores that allow your skin to breathe and function.
* Individual texture that makes you a human, not an AI-generated template.
Don't let a filtered celebrity or a 10x magnifying mirror define your self-worth. In this treatment room, we don't do "cookie-cutter" beauty. We focus on Individual Health.
My goal isn’t to erase your history—it’s to make sure your skin is hydrated, resilient, and glowing at every stage.
As shown below, Jennifer Lopez is stunning naturally. Filters set psychological unrealistic expectations that make us all insecure.
We need to stop this dysfunction and embrace our uniqueness! 🛑
Regular facials and good homecare will support a healthy natural beauty so that you wont nees filters.

Why Buying Skincare Online (or at a Store) Can Cost You More-
Skincare shouldn’t be guesswork.
Social media influencers often promote products because they’re paid to—not necessarily because they’re right for your skin. Viral doesn’t equal effective.
And many over-the-counter products don’t just underperform—they can create deficits:
* Barrier damage
* Over-exfoliation
* Sensitivity and inflammation
* Dehydration and breakouts
Then consumers buy more products trying to “fix” what the last products caused.
That cycle gets expensive.
What seems cheaper often leads to more spending, more confusion, and compromised skin.
Professional skincare is different.With 16 years of experience, I customize professional-grade homecare specifically for your skin, taking out the guesswork and often saving you money by preventing wasted purchases.
Instead of chasing trends and buying products to correct product mistakes, invest in a regimen chosen by a trained licensed professional.
Stop letting marketing prescribe your skincare.
Choose expertise over experimentation. ✌🏼
