We’re upgrading our entire draft beer system to better serve you, so there’ll be no draft beer tomorrow, Monday 9/21. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty to pour: bottles, cans, whiskeys and cocktails will be available. Draft will be back up shortly!

A little bit of Manchester history in a can. 🍺

Boddingtons traces its roots back to 1778, when Strangeways Brewery was founded in Manchester. Henry Boddington joined the brewery in 1832 and eventually became its sole owner, turning it into one of Manchester’s largest breweries. By the 1990s, Boddingtons had become famous far beyond Manchester as “The Cream of Manchester,” known for its smooth, creamy character. Yum!

Did you know Two Fools Tavern has a little Guinness history of its own? 🍀

Back in 1986, one of the Two Fools owners, Thomas White, convinced Guinness Import Company to send the first keg of Guinness Draught ever served in the state of New Mexico. And according to this rather official-looking letter from Guinness itself, his efforts helped make Guinness the thriving brand it is today in NM, particularly at “the rather fine Two Fools Tavern.”

We’ll happily raise a pint to that. Sláinte, Thomas! 🍻

A little whiskey info for your Thursday 🥃

Redbreast Whiskey is a classic example of Irish Single Pot Still whiskey, made with both malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. The result is a rich, full-bodied whiskey known for its fruity, spicy, and toasted flavors.
