Albuquerque Mountain Rescue is a volunteer technical search and rescue team specializing in mountain and wilderness rescue.
On February 19, 1955 a TWA plane bound for Santa Fe Crashed in the Sandia Mountains. The following day several members of the New Mexico Mountain Club, along with other volunteers assisted the New Mexico State Police in the recovery effort.
