Join us for First Responders & Essential Workers Day on June 20, 10 am – 2 pm, and get curious about the science, tech, engineering, art, and math behind the work of first responders and essential workers.

An evening of beer, bites, and science. 🍺

Science of Beer 2026 features local breweries, tasty food vendors, trivia, and exclusive activities you won't find anywhere else.

This year, we're adding an extra hour of fun. Enjoy pours from Marble Brewery, Rio Bravo Brewing Company, Canteen Brewhouse, Boxing Bear Brewing Company, and Deer Creek Brewing Company, plus bites from Three Sisters Kitchen, Heidi's Ice Cream, Southwest Grape & Grain, and CNM FUSE Makerspace.

Explore: build a beer caddy, dive into the microscopic world of beer, survive the Bed of Nails, hear from local brewmasters, compete in Beer Trivia, and stick around for a raffle.

Nearly 30 teachers from schools across New Mexico came together to grow their skills in makerspace learning and renewable energy education! ⁠
In partnership with New Mexico Tech, the workshop offered hands-on experiences educators can bring directly into their classrooms.⁠

Teachers explored practical strategies, materials, and inquiry-based activities that help students build, test, and better understand energy concepts. One teacher shared that their students were “amazed and excited” by a simple windmill and energy experiment.⁠

With support from Sandia National Laboratories, the STEM Innovation Network, and New Mexico Tech, these workshops are expanding access to meaningful, real-world STEM learning while helping strengthen teacher confidence and spark student curiosity across the state!⁠
