High cholesterol levels is a major risk for heart disease, but do you know why?
When you have too much LDL cholesterol, it's more likely to get stuck in your blood vessels. Overtime, it can build up plaque, which can block blood flow.
Fortunately, most people can do something about it!
❤ Stop smoking. Smoking impedes your body's ability to get rid of bad cholesterol.
❤ Exercise! Exercise helps raise your HDL levels, which help your body get rid of excess cholesterol.
❤ Reduce saturated fats, eliminate trans fats. Following the mediterranean diet is a great option!

Many people are remembering and honoring the first responders who bravely answered the call 24 years ago by participating in stair climbs.
110 floors. 2,200 steps.
These challenges are non-competitive and not timed. They are a way to challenge ourselves and reflect on the courage and resilience of the first responders who climbed the Twin Towers.
Choose the workout that works for your body and your rehab plans, and you can ask an exercise specialist for advice on how to incorporate this into your workout today.
Exercise was the best medicine for Synneva.
She was in the depths of anxiety and depression because of her long COVID symptoms. Her own determination, with the help of New Heart, pulled her out and back to her very full life!
If you know someone struggling with chronic fatigue or long COVID, show them this video. Exercise may be the key.

Once an avid weight-lifter, Synneva's life was turned on its head after developing long COVID.
She couldn't work, she couldn't attend church, sometimes she felt like she couldn't even get out of bed.
Eventually, the symptoms demanded a solution, and Synneva walked through our doors.
