Robert Duncan Cain II is the State Director for Americans For Prosperity - New Mexico. He is an entrepreneur, consultant, and social change strategist born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His nickname is "Burly," given to him by his grandfather at birth. He holds a degree in economics with honors from The University of New Mexico.

Burly and his Fiancee Brianna, a molecular scientist in Albuquerque, enjoy playing sports and getting their three dogs into the enchanted landscapes of New Mexico. Burly played rugby while at UNM and still plays soccer today, he was asked to serve on the UNM Regent's Investment Portfolio as an analyst and advisor. He started a company trading global financial instruments and would later find a passion in helping advance liberty as an advocate for social change base around developing strategies that advance free and prosperous societies.

He became active in Politics in the 2008 US political elections and was actively involved in elections most recently serving in various roles such as the Chief Technology Officer, Grassroots Director, Digital Director and Coalitions Director for the Gary Johnson Presidential Campaign. He managed a team that built the largest third party campaign in US history in 5 months, raising over $8 million online and developing a system of over 50k volunteers across the country working in 50 states and globally.

Burly's political experience also extends into political parties where he held the role of Chairman of the Libertarian Party of New Mexico. He has worked with dozens of races for political office at the local, state and National level. He has held roles in the National and State Libertarian Party, registering as a Libertarian for the first time in 2014 but a libertarian for many years prior. Notably, he has also served as Deputy Policy Director for the Republican State House of Representatives, was a Republican candidate for State House of Representatives, Regional Field Director for the Republican National Committee, Get Out the Vote Director for Gubernatorial Races and Development Director for The Rio Grande Foundation. He has also served as the Executive Director for non-profits, and the Executive Director for the Libertarian Party of New Mexico.
