Celebrating 20 years of New Mexico Spaceport Authority and the continued evolution of Spaceport America.
SMPC is honored to have contributed to the ongoing development of this ambitious effort and remains engaged as it continues to take shape. Projects of this scale help lay the groundwork for emerging industries and expand what is possible for New Mexico.
We also recognize the designers, contractors, and visionaries whose dedication has carried this work forward over the past two decades.
Proud to be part of what comes next.

Out on the Paseo del Bosque for Earth Day đ
Our team stepped away from the office this morning to walk and clean our adopted stretch of trail along the Rio Grande. A couple of hours, a cleaner path, and time well spent.

Two projects. Two merit awards. And a room full of great work.
Honored to have the American AgCredit Office in Roswell recognized in the Office category and the New Mexico School for the Arts Cafeteria & Dormitory Expansion projects recognized in Education at the 2025 NAIOP New Mexico Awards of Excellence.
Even more, weâre grateful to be included among this yearâs nomineesâso many thoughtful, innovative projects shaping how New Mexico works, learns, and gathers. NAIOP continues to spotlight the creative vision driving our communities forward.
Thanks to our clients for their trust, and to the architects, engineers, contractors, and collaborators who made these projects possible. Good work is always a team effort.

Weâre honored to receive a Citation Award for the Sierra Vista Elementary Classroom Block Expansion at the 2025 AIA Albuquerque Design Awards, held Friday, December 6 at the UNM School of Architecture & Planning.
This first phase of Sierra Vistaâs campus renewal replaces aging portables with a modern two-story classroom building grounded in the character of Albuquerqueâs West Mesa. Brick masonry inspired by local basalt formations, daylight-filled classrooms, and flexible collaboration zones create a welcoming, future-ready learning environment for the Paradise Hills community.
AIA Albuquerque unveiled newly designed award plaques this yearâbeautifully crafted by , who also manufactured signage for the building. Our thanks to Chapter Director Jen Fenstermacher and the AIA Albuquerque Chapter for organizing, and UNM School of Architecture + Planning for hosting the event.
Weâre grateful to our talented design team and to Bradbury Stamm Construction for their partnership in delivering this important project for the Sierra Vista ES Community.

A little late to post, but worth the wait đ
Last week we hosted the UNM School of Architecture + Planningâs Deanâs Circle for our annual Balloon Fiesta rooftop breakfast. The balloons stayed north, but the morning was filled with sunshine, conversation, and community.
Weâre always grateful for this tradition â and for the chance to connect with those shaping the future of design in New Mexico.

A little late to post, but worth the wait â last week we hosted the UNM School of Architecture + Planningâs Deanâs Circle for our annual Balloon Fiesta rooftop breakfast.
While the balloons drifted north, the morning was filled with good conversation and connection among alumni, faculty, and supporters. Weâre always grateful for this tradition and the opportunity to strengthen our ties with those shaping the future of design in New Mexico.
