Generous Hearts

10.1 OCTOBER!!! I am so ready to have the cooler temps of winter and am limbering up my flake maker to dance for the massive amount of snow I need to make up for our brutal summer.

Today’s share is for a family of 4. I found 2 squishmals (?) and two small lacrosse sets with a balls for the kiddos.

I have seen the texts coming in, and I am doing one family at a time, as they are larger families. I promise to get to everyone.

9.30 The glorious rains have taken a little break and while there weren't whitecaps around my ankles, I got things together for todays share for a family of 3.

Used the bigger table because the smaller one was so crowed for another family of 3 and now it looks a bit sparcer. I can't win...lol There is just as much there as the other family of 3, I promise.

Had to shuffle some folks as Noah and his Ark were sure to come by during our rains and nobody wants soggy groceries. Hoping we don't have to reshuffle the shuffled as we are due for possibly more rain, however we know how weather works here in New Mexico and we could have a heatwave and or snow instead.

Be dry and safe and stay out of the arroys, they are so dangerous with dirty moving water and who knows what else in them.

I sent texts to everyone on my waiting list and most people were happy to hear from me. Some read my text and never replied. Sigh

I am sorry if folks are annoyed with me. I understand you had to wait longer than anticipated to hear back from me. My family had some expected and unexpected medical surgeries and emergencies. I did not get to fully recouperate after my surgery when our emergency happened. It was an exhausting and unsettling time at my house and I had to put my focus and energy to my family.

I love doing Generous Hearts and get so excited to shop my shelves and put groceries together for folks. I had immense guilt and a huge weight on my shoulders knowing I had a large waiting list, however my family needed me and I had to circle our wagons and take care of us for a while. I tell folks that reach out to reschedule due to a family need that family comes first and I took my own advice. And as soon as I could, I was contacting folks to come by. I did the best I could with my circumstances and every person who replied back, thank you for your patience and understanding.

I have groceries and if you need a hand, please text me and we can make a plan.

9.27 Today's share is for a family of 3. Should have used the bigger table as these bags are packed in there.

Lots of yummy fresh produce today.

Not as much schlepping today as yesterday. I am a bit dewey because we have apparently started summer again. 😄

9.26 Today's share is for a family of 12. It was a bit warm out there today and I broke a sweat in the 2 hours it took me to schlep, bag and arrange everything so it fit on 2 tables. These tables are filled with what I would share with 3 or 4 of my smaller families. 

I had anxiety last night worrying if it was going to rain when I was putting all of these groceries out. I should also mention the dropping and knocking the laundry detergent and shampoos off the table, multiple times. Thankfully nothing popped its lid and I am not covered in Tide like last time I had the dropsies.

Generous Hearts has 3 more days of groceries and families scheduled.

I am going to start working on the next batch of folks. If you are on the wait list, keep an eye on your text messages. I promise I will get to everyone. Lots of behind the scenes work goes into making groceries happen.

9.23 3rd share of the day for a family of 2. Blankets for them as well and major jumble under the cover. lol

9.23 Second share of the day is for a family of 2. They also were given 2 blankets.

9.22 Doing Generous Hearts in the rain is fun said no wet person ever. lol I actually love the rain and I enjoyed being out in it. The fun part is keeping the groceries dry. I managed, but it’s not pretty. 😉

Today’s first share is for a family of 2. I put everything together in my garage and then took everything outside and covered it. I forgot to take pics before it was bagged up.

There are 2 cozy lap blankets for each person.
