🚨MEDIA ALERT: Wanted by the FBI: Raymond Lawrence Gonzales

The FBI-Albuquerque Office is seeking information from the public.

Raymond Lawrence Gonzales is wanted for his alleged involvement in drug-related crimes in New Mexico. On April 17, 2024, local law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a car driven by Gonzales. The vehicle had traveled from Arizona to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and contained approximately 72 kilograms of fentanyl pills. On June 25, 2024, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Gonzales in the United States District Court, District of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico, after he was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute 400 Grams and More of Fentanyl.

Gonzales has ties to Mazatlan and Juarez, Mexico.

The FBI-Albuquerque Operational Medicine (OpMed) Team trains continuously to maintain critical medical skills and provide operational medical support during missions and high-risk operations. This photo was captured while participating in a past training alongside our SWAT Team. During National CPR & AED Awareness Week, June 1–7, we are reminded that strong partnerships and realistic training help ensure we are ready to respond when seconds matter most. We also want to take a moment and say thank you to our local EMS providers and our regional aviation partners for their professionalism and commitment to protecting our communities.

FBI Southwest Field Offices to Host Special Agent Recruitment Event
The -Albuquerque and -El Paso Field Offices will co-host an in-person recruiting event in El Paso on Friday, June 26, 2026. Those who attend the recruiting event will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with current FBI executives, special agents, intelligence analysts, and other FBI personnel.

In addition, many of the FBI’s Critical Incident Response components such as SWAT, Evidence Recovery Teams, Crisis Negotiations, and Bomb Technicians, will be onsite to talk about their roles in FBI investigations and have their gear on display. FBI physical fitness advisors will be present to go over the FBI agent fitness test and applicant coordinators will provide guidance into the FBI application process.

There is no cost to attend, and attendees will not be required to submit a formal employment application following the event. Attendees interested in pursuing a career with the FBI will have the opportunity to begin the application process during the event.

Malicious cyber actors are targeting U.S.-based automatic tank gauge (ATG) systems, widely used throughout the Energy, Chemical, Food and Agriculture, and Transportation Systems Sectors. The threat actors exploit flaws in ATG systems through multiple attack vectors, compromising internet-exposed ATG systems and subsequently modify them through command ex*****on.
