The Changing Woman Initiative is a Native American-centered health collective.

Our vision is to restore the sovereignty of indigenous midwifery and community health with the return to gender equality and cultural birth practices.

At CWI, we're committed to expanding access to culturally centered birth care through Community Birth services, our Birth Sanctuary, and support for families who choose or need hospital births. We believe every family deserves respectful care, informed choices, and support throughout their birthing journey.

Today, we honor homebirth while advocating for a future where all families have access to the knowledge, resources, and care they need to birth with dignity and sovereignty.

Our vision is to restore the sovereignty of global Indigenous wellness by honoring our human right to equitable reproductive health.
We strive to center indigenous midwifery and community health with the return to gender equality and cultural birth practices. Our work is centered around providing care to those who have historically been separated from their cultural and ancestral reproductive, birthing, and wellness practices and knowledge.

At Changing Woman Initiative, our mission is to empower our diverse Indigenous communities to protect cultural birth resiliency and the fundamental Indigenous right to reproductive health, dignity, and justice.

By providing cultural birth knowledge and promoting reproductive wellness and healing through holistic approaches, we encourage the reclamation of Indigenous sovereignty of women’s medicine and lifeway teachings.

We are honored to be a part of this powerful work and look forward to sharing more about who we are, what we do, and how we show up with and in community with you.
