Back at it! I was very excited and honored to make the cookie favors for a dear friend’s wedding! I was super busy hustling so I couldn’t get many photos or video🤪. Sorry I have been MIA. I broke my lower fibula Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Had surgery a week later. (Soccer and a wet muddy field not good bedfellows). I’m non weight bearing for 4-6weeks. No baking. I’m going to be out of commission until January/February. All that said, I am so grateful to all my family and friends who have given so much love, help and encouragement!! All the amazing meals and donations to the meal train have helped so much and I’m deeply grateful for everything!! 💗🥰🤗 (Especially my amazing husband and son who have really put up with my 💩)

Each day gets better and I know I will come back stronger than ever! ❤️‍🩹💪🏼.

Pictures by order of appearance: first cast after they set my leg in the ER(Feel better Batman band-aids courtesy of my amazing 4yo nephew), colorful bruises 1 week after the break, pre surgery cast and new pedicure(because it helps feel better), X-ray showing my shiny new titanium plate with 4 screws(look closely to the right to see the 17 staples😳), post surgery cast, staples before removal, clean leg with steri-stripes, new hot pink fiberglass cast, and dachshund foot warmer (highly recommend)but sold separately! 🩷💪🏼🙌🏼

Thanksgiving desserts don’t always have to be pies. Here is one of my favorite alternative twists for a delicious Thanksgiving Day treat…Apple Rose Cake! Soft light vanilla cake topped with sweet apples honey drizzle and sprinkles of powdered sugar! Serve warm with a dollop of fresh whipped cream!
