Thanks to volunteers across our state; low-turnout, registered Democrats in New Mexico’s Congressional District 2 will get a postcard directing them to a page on Blue CD2 NM’s website that explains what Rep. Gabe Vasquez is doing for his district. What did he do recently? Helped write and pass the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, a bipartisan bill expected to become law. Rep. Vasquez calls it, “the biggest win for housing affordability in a generation.”

Looks great. We support Chaco Canyon, not corporations.
Wow, great support on many fronts for our friends and neighbors!
Dumb and dumber, cowardly and more cowardly, they went and did it!

Back at the beginning of Trump’s second term, DOGE’s search for DEI-related programs caused the USDA to cancel more than $127 million in grants that gave underserved and new farmers access to affordable land, markets, training, financing, and more. Among the farmers affected were tribal members who were lumped in with DEI initiatives.
A coalition of land trusts, local governments, and Native organizations is now suing, saying longstanding federal policies recognize tribes as sovereign political entities, not racial groups.

Enchantment Si! Extraction NO!
Join New Mexico Wild for an urgent community presentation featuring Garrett VeneKlasen, New Mexico Wild’s Northern Conservation Director, on the escalating mining threats facing northern New Mexico’s public lands.
The presentation will cover how President Trump’s Executive Order 14156, “Declaring a National Energy Emergency,” and the Department of Interior’s Fast 41 Program have accelerated mining exploration on federal public lands, including the proposed uranium mine near Canjilón. Attendees will also learn about threats to federal land, water, and cultural protections, as well as efforts to roll back safeguards like the Roadless Rule.
Most importantly, New Mexico Wild will discuss what these changes could mean for northern New Mexico communities and how people can get involved in protecting the places they care about.
