Q: How do I remove the composite adhering the gem to my tooth safely?
A: A quick trip to the dentist is all it takes! I've contacted a few dental offices, and know that Valer Dental on Eubank estimated composite removal at about $20 per tooth, and Comfort Dental on Tramway estimated at about $30 per tooth. Just call your dentist to get a quote, and if you're not interested in making that trip, the composite can come off with your fingernail, or can be gradually brushed away over time with your toothbrush.

Q: How are tooth gems applied?
A: Using a dental adhesive system mirroring the adhesive system used in orthodontic offices to bond braces to to teeth, it includes an etchant primer, bond, and composite to create a tight bond to the tooth that's easily removed at a dental office should the gem fall off or you choose to have it removed.

Q: How long do tooth gems last?
A: Depending on proper tooth gem care, the life of your gem can vary between 3 months and several years! Things like brushing the surface of the tooth extremely hard, biting into hard or crunchy foods that scrape/bump the surface of the bejeweled tooth, and general picking/playing with the gem could cause it to last a much shorter period of time.
