👏 We’d like to welcome our Summer 2026 Intern Becky Chang to the Pland Albuquerque office! Becky is a Landscape Architecture Master’s student at Texas A&M with a keen interest in getting into the nitty gritty details of planting design, from irrigation to plant spacing. Originally from Taiwan, she is proud of the effort she’s put into her two years of study abroad.

The National Ranching Heritage Center at Texas Tech University is a 19-acre historical park complete with bronze outdoor sculptures and a museum, all dedicated to sharing the historical and contemporary stories of Western life. On a recent visit to the Center, Lubbock staff (all Texas Tech grads!) got inspiration from the museum entrance, walkways, plants, and sculpture installations, all part of a landscape that tells a story of the historic, symbolic, and cultural heritage of ranching in the area.

Earlier this month, our Planning team traveled to outdoor recreation wonderland Doña Ana County, NM to facilitate the Río Grande Trail Commission meeting. As part of the Commission’s effort to engage the public and explore potential trail segments, they hosted a DinoTracks Site Tour and a City of Sunland Park, New Mexico River Trail Tour the day before the meeting. The evening ended with an epic Mesilla Gravaleros Bike Ride, hosted by Monumental Loop

Pardon our dust! 🤠
We're here with PREDOCK at the Rail Trail Central Crossing construction site where The City of Albuquerque is building an at-grade pedestrian and bicycle crossing of the railroad tracks at Central Ave. This creates a safe pedestrian connection between EDO and Downtown Albuquerque and will be one of the main entrances to the Rail Trail (and future home of the Tumbleweed)!
